make new friends
Find your people
It sometimes seems like everyone has a big, happy, fulfilling social life full of lifelong friendships...except you. Meeting new people and cultivating meaningful friendships can be difficult and with social anxiety it can feel impossible. How do you strike up a conversation with a stranger? How do you move from acquaintances to real friends?
Maybe you want to find travel companions, friends to grab a beer and watch a game with or an exercise buddy. It is simple enough to set a nebulous goal “to be social,” but building friendships is not easy or automatic, so it makes sense to ask for help.
The effort spent on this endeavor can pay dividends. When you have friends you can call, your life improves; you’ll be active, supported, and invigorated. Plus, you will have more fun!
I get by with a little help from my friends.
